سُوۡرَةُ الاٴنفَال
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَطِيۡعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوۡلَهٗ وَلَا تَوَلَّوۡا عَنۡهُ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ تَسۡمَعُوۡنَ‌ ۖ‌ ۚ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾  وَلَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا كَالَّذِيۡنَ قَالُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَهُمۡ لَا يَسۡمَعُوۡنَ‌‏ ﴿۲۱﴾  اِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَآبِّ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ الصُّمُّ الۡبُكۡمُ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَعۡقِلُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾  وَلَوۡ عَلِمَ اللّٰهُ فِيۡهِمۡ خَيۡرًا لَّاَسۡمَعَهُمۡ‌ؕ وَلَوۡ اَسۡمَعَهُمۡ لَـتَوَلَّوْا وَّهُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾

اے ایمان والو! خدا اور اس کے رسول کے حکم پر چلو اور اس سے روگردانی نہ کرو اور تم سنتے ہو (۲۰) اور ان لوگوں جیسے نہ ہونا جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے حکم (خدا) سن لیا مگر (حقیقت میں) نہیں سنتے (۲۱) کچھ شک نہیں کہ خدا کے نزدیک تمام جانداروں سے بدتر بہرے گونگے ہیں جو کچھ نہیں سمجھتے (۲۲) اور اگر خدا ان میں نیکی (کا مادہ) دیکھتا تو ان کو سننے کی توفیق بخشتا۔ اور اگر (بغیر صلاحیت ہدایت کے) سماعت دیتا تو وہ منہ پھیر کر بھاگ جاتے (۲۳)

 O you who believe, obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from Him when you listen (to him). (20) And do not be like those who say, "We have listened" while they do not listen ⁸ . (21) Surely, the worst of all animals in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb who do not understand. (22) Had Allah seen in them some good, He would have made them listen (as due). But if He makes them listen (now), they will turn away paying no heed. (23)
