National Convention of Writers/Artists
Dear,
Human Rights Commission of Pakistan is organising a National Convention of Writers/Artists on December 7, 2013 at HRCP-Secretariat, Dorab Patel Auditorium, 107- Tipu Block, New Garden Town, Lahore.
Time: 9 am – 6 pm
Last year (2012) HRCP had held provincial conventions of writers and artists that had aroused considerable interest.
This year we wish to concentrate on young writers and their concerns. We are requesting the participants to look at young people's work and their aspirations and discuss the possibilities of their receiving help and guidance from their seniors in literature, art and culture.
The programme includes a review of trends literature, arts, theatre and cinema.
We also intend to give time to young poets to recite their poetry in a special session
We are inviting eminent writers/artists from all provinces of Pakistan.
In view of your commitment to change and contribution in the field of art and culture we request you to participate and contribute to the formulation of new ideas for opening up literature and arts to accommodate the youth's aspirations and concerns.
Note: There will be a 'mushaira' in the end
