Pakistanis traveling/working in Afghanistan are advised to avoid pictures or carrying cameras while outdoors. Several instances have been reported where Afghan police and NDS personnel harassed and arrested Pakistanis for taking pictures or carrying cameras. It has come to the notice of this Embassy that certain security outfits in Afghanistan have increased their harassment of Pakistani citizens. Possession of cameras or taking pictures provide an excuse to them to harass Pakistani nationals in the absence of any other provocation.
All Pakistani citizens are advised to let their employers and the Embassy informed in case they face any harassment.
